Sturgeon North 1 - 1 Brewster Bye
Close game that was never going to be a classic.
Just in case anyone from Brewster Bye isn’t sure:
THE USE OF BLADES OR MOULDED STUDS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED (Stadium Rules). When highlighted by the opposing team the player must get off the pitch immediately and put suitable footwear on or just not play. Refusal to do this forfeits the game for the offending team.
I’m pretty sure normal FIFA rules also state that deliberatly preventing a goal being scored using your hands is also a sending off offence but I guess that doesn’t apply.
Bloody hell fire, that was a quick post! I thought the game was good but thse forwards don’t half fall over easily. Well done the ref for his authoritative running of the game…
Bowman Riley 1 - Harris 3
bowman scorer - Alex
Bowmans are doing a Man City, start off great then finish crap!
Whats Sepp Blatter doing overseeing our architects league and spouting forth about FIFA rules….should he not be sorting out the world slavery situation? As for your forwards falling over easily maybe it was their bottom lips they kept tripping on? We applaud your critical self analysis!
The referee dealt with all situations very well and the offending player left and changed his footwear as & when he was told!
BBA Scorer - Ben Macca
Sorry but I have spoken to the referee and BBA will be forfeiting the game
The player wearing blades did not leave the pitch immediately when asked as per the rules. I know his response will be that he agreed with the ref that he could play until half time but this was because he told the referee he had no other trainers. When he went to change them at half time (whether they were his or someone elses) showed that he should have left immediately.
I can assure you this is not sour grapes although do concur that the SNA players were not happy. I have already punished SNA (for my mistake) by playing with four subs and saved SDA from the same punishment by ensuring they only used three.
As people might have realised over the years…BLADES AND MOULDED BOOTS ARE NOT TOLERATED. END OF STORY
Robinsons 2-2 Carillion
Robinson Scorers: Dixon (2)
harris scorers were, brewer, fletch and winn in an emphatic 3-1 victory
forfeiting the game for studs seems a little harsh….albeit the rules are quite clear……oh what fun.
You’d think all the teams would have worked out the no blades/moulders rule by NOW! I mean even us (Marshalls) and DG3 stopped wearing them long ago and we were frequent offenders (sorry Mark!).
Carillion 2 - 2 Robinsons
Carillion Scorers:
Schofield (1)
Jackson (1)
The Harris scorers last night were Brewer, Fletcher & Broadhead. Not Winn as Lee said the prawn.
SDA 2 - 0 CJA (Gowers/Cartwright Pickard/Carillion)
Good game, SDA just edged it again with a good defensive performance and a fine goalkeeping display from their new ‘young’ keeper!
SDA Scorers
Ben
Jay
SGP 1-3 BH
BH Scorers; Damien Eyres (P), Andy Bones, Paul Richardson
‘young’, my arse!
